Responsibility
- Design, test, and refine high-quality prompts to improve AI model accuracy, relevance, and contextual understanding.
- Collaborate with data scientists and developers to integrate prompt engineering best practices into AI/ML pipelines.
- Optimize prompts for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability across diverse use cases (e.g., chatbots, content generation, automation).
- Conduct A/B testing and performance benchmarking to iteratively enhance prompt effectiveness.
- Document prompt libraries, methodologies, and results for team knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Stay updated on advancements in LLM architectures (e.g., transformer models) and emerging prompt engineering techniques.
- Ensure prompts adhere to ethical guidelines, bias mitigation strategies, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior team members (Senior role) and contribute to internal training on prompt engineering best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, AI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or AI model fine-tuning (1+ years for Junior, 3+ for Senior).
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face, TensorFlow).
- Strong understanding of LLMs (e.g., GPT, Llama) and their limitations, including hallucination and bias risks.
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development tools (Jira, Notion).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to debug and improve prompt performance.
- Fluency in English with exceptional written communication skills for crafting precise prompts.
- Portfolio or examples of past prompt engineering projects (advantageous).
