Responsibility
- Assist senior estimators in reviewing architectural and engineering drawings to identify material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Conduct site inspections to verify conditions, dimensions, and potential cost factors.
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials (e.g., concrete, steel, lumber) using digital tools or manual methods.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing data and compare vendor quotes.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and reports for project bids, including direct/indirect costs and profit margins.
- Support the development of project timelines by aligning cost data with scheduling constraints.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and final budgets for audit and reference.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss scope, risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in construction estimating, cost analysis, or a similar role (internships count!).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or CostX).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail in calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with engineers, architects, and contractors.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials, methods, and local building codes in Indonesia.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Badung and surrounding areas as needed.
