Responsibility
- Provide reference and research assistance to students, faculty, and staff, guiding them in locating and utilizing library resources effectively.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized, age-appropriate collection of books, digital media, and educational materials tailored to junior high school curricula.
- Design and implement library programs and workshops to promote literacy, research skills, and digital literacy among students.
- Collaborate with teachers to align library resources with classroom learning objectives and support project-based learning initiatives.
- Manage the libraryâs cataloging, circulation, and inventory systems to ensure efficient access to materials.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive library environment that encourages reading, exploration, and academic curiosity.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in library science and educational technology to enhance library services.
- Assist in the selection and acquisition of new materials, ensuring the collection remains relevant and diverse.
Qualifications
- A Bachelorâs degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field; a Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a librarian, preferably in an educational setting (school or academic library).
- Strong knowledge of library management systems and digital research tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents.
- Familiarity with curriculum standards and educational resources for junior high school students.
- Ability to plan and execute library programs that align with educational goals.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is beneficial.
- Passion for fostering a culture of reading and lifelong learning in a multicultural environment.
