Responsibility
- Design and develop furniture concepts and prototypes that align with market trends and company standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and appealing to target audiences.
- Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Select and source materials, finishes, and hardware that balance quality, durability, and aesthetics.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inspire innovative designs.
- Participate in prototyping and testing phases, iterating on designs based on feedback and performance data.
- Prepare and present design proposals to stakeholders, articulating the vision and benefits of each concept.
- Ensure all designs comply with safety, ergonomic, and sustainability standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in furniture design, product development, or a similar role (fresh graduates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong hand-sketching and rendering skills to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques for furniture.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
