Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data center server and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and deployment of servers, switches, and other hardware components.
- Perform routine system checks, including temperature, power, and connectivity monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues under supervision, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Support cable management, rack organization, and inventory tracking for data center assets.
- Assist in backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster preparedness.
- Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions in compliance with company protocols.
- Collaborate with senior team members to implement system upgrades and patches in a controlled environment.
Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of server hardware, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and data center operations.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shift-based or on-call rotations as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are advantageous but not mandatory.
