Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation of meals for patients, staff, and hospital events under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in all kitchen operations.
- Measure, portion, and prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Follow hospital protocols for food handling, storage, and waste disposal.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of food service areas for events and daily operations.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment (hospitality, healthcare, or catering preferred).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (certification is a plus).
- Ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic English proficiency for communication with team members and supervisors.
