Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of ingredients for a variety of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen team in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to minimize waste.
- Assist in plating dishes and ensuring timely delivery to guests during service hours.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak service times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in food handling and kitchen operations.
- Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of local and international cuisines.
Qualifications
- Basic culinary training or a certificate from a recognized culinary school (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role is a plus.
- Strong passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
