Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on production jigs, fixtures, and tooling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or structural issues in jigs and fixtures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, modify, or fabricate new jigs and fixtures to improve efficiency and precision.
- Document all maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and propose sustainable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and company policies during all maintenance operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades or replacements for outdated tooling.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices for jig and fixture maintenance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or fabrication of jigs, fixtures, and precision tooling in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics (CAD knowledge is a plus).
- Strong hands-on skills in using milling machines, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment for tooling adjustments.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and TPM methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or in a team, with strong communication skills in English.
- Certification in mechanical maintenance or precision engineering is advantageous.
