As a Network Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless network operations for our Japanese-speaking clients. Responsibility

  • Provide tier-2 and tier-3 network support for Japanese-speaking clients, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and routing protocols.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams to implement network upgrades, security patches, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Document network configurations, incident reports, and standard operating procedures in both Japanese and English.
  • Act as a liaison between Japanese clients and internal technical teams, translating technical jargon into clear, actionable insights.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for network outages and recommend preventive measures.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of network hardware and software, including switches, routers, and load balancers.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network incidents.

Qualifications

  • Native-level fluency in Japanese (both written and verbal) and professional proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in network support, engineering, or administration, with a focus on troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid setting, with excellent time management and communication skills.
