As a Network Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless network operations for our Japanese-speaking clients. Responsibility
- Provide tier-2 and tier-3 network support for Japanese-speaking clients, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and routing protocols.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to implement network upgrades, security patches, and infrastructure improvements.
- Document network configurations, incident reports, and standard operating procedures in both Japanese and English.
- Act as a liaison between Japanese clients and internal technical teams, translating technical jargon into clear, actionable insights.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for network outages and recommend preventive measures.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of network hardware and software, including switches, routers, and load balancers.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network incidents.
Qualifications
- Native-level fluency in Japanese (both written and verbal) and professional proficiency in English.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in network support, engineering, or administration, with a focus on troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and security best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid setting, with excellent time management and communication skills.
