Responsibility

  • Provide first-line technical support to faculty, staff, and students, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and network devices across campus.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, including operating system errors, software conflicts, and hardware malfunctions.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of classroom technology, including projectors, interactive whiteboards, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and in optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement security protocols, software updates, and system backups.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures to improve knowledge sharing and support efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on basic IT best practices and software usage.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in IT support, computer repair, or system administration, preferably in an educational or corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic troubleshooting of LAN/Wi-Fi issues.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware repair, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are a plus.
