Responsibility
- Provide timely IT support to students, faculty, and staff, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Maintain, configure, and upgrade computer lab equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure, ensuring stable connectivity and security across campus systems.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and educational software used in labs and classrooms.
- Implement data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical academic and administrative information.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
- Assist in the setup and support of audio-visual and multimedia equipment for lectures, presentations, and events.
- Document IT processes, maintain inventory records, and generate reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in IT support, network administration, or lab management in an educational or corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and troubleshooting tools.
- Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance, software installation, and system diagnostics.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and basic data protection measures.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
