Responsibility
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify and neutralize potential security breaches before they escalate.
- Monitor security systems, analyze logs, and investigate anomalies to detect and respond to incidents in real-time.
- Develop and implement incident response plans, ensuring rapid containment and recovery from security events.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen system defenses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into IT operations and development workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for security incidents, investigations, and compliance audits.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of security tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on threat detection, incident response, or security operations.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR/XDR, and network monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS) and penetration testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) and security frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate complex security issues to stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC are a plus.
