Responsibility
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies to strengthen security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Analyze logs and network traffic to identify anomalies and potential threats.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security incidents, investigations, and resolutions.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage for critical security events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security architectures, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
