Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations of data centre facilities, ensuring 24/7 availability and optimal performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard data centre assets and sensitive information.
- Monitor and manage data centre infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and cooling systems.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource utilization.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency in data centre operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in managing data centre operations, with a strong technical background in IT infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of data centre technologies, including servers, storage systems, networking, and virtualization.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as ITIL, ISO 27001, and Uptime Institute standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, or CDCP are highly desirable.
