Responsibility
- Lead and manage the ICT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud-based systems.
- Develop and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency in the shipping and logistics sector.
- Manage IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all IT systems, implementing best practices for cybersecurity and data protection.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs, propose solutions, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades to optimize IT operations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to IT staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (e.g., IT Manager, IT Assistant Manager, or similar).
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience in the shipping, logistics, or maritime industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
