Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, networks, and software applications to support healthcare operations.
- Ensure the security, compliance, and reliability of all IT infrastructure in accordance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, local data protection laws).
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of hardware/software to optimize cost-efficiency and performance.
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with the medical center’s goals, including digital health initiatives and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot critical IT issues and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify technology needs and deliver user-friendly solutions.
- Oversee data management, backup, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard patient and organizational data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Proven expertise in network administration, cybersecurity, and cloud computing (AWS/Azure).
- Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems (EHR, PACS, HL7 standards) and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or PMP are highly desirable.
- Experience with budgeting, vendor negotiations, and IT governance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to evolving technological needs.
