Responsibility
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of Tier-3 data centre infrastructure and private cloud services for the Penang Mutiara Line project.
- Oversee the integration of enterprise IT systems with cloud and on-premise infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals, including scalability, security, and cost optimization.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for data centre and cloud services to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data security and privacy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, network engineering, and software development, to support project delivery.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to IT infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware, ITIL) is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing data centre and cloud services.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing Tier-3 data centre environments, private cloud platforms, and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems (SAN, NAS), and network infrastructure (SDN, firewalls, load balancers).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including migration, automation, and cost management.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex IT projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
