Responsibility
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot audio-visual systems, including projectors, interactive displays, sound systems, and video conferencing equipment across classrooms and event spaces.
- Set up, configure, and test AV equipment for digital learning sessions, hybrid events, and multimedia presentations to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to educators, staff, and event organizers, resolving AV-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate AV systems with existing network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and security compliance.
- Develop and maintain documentation for AV equipment, including user guides, troubleshooting manuals, and inventory records.
- Train staff and faculty on the proper use of AV equipment and digital learning tools to maximize adoption and minimize technical disruptions.
- Monitor AV system performance, conduct regular maintenance, and recommend upgrades or replacements to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Assist in the planning and execution of AV setups for special events, webinars, and hybrid learning sessions, ensuring high-quality audio and visual output.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in AV system management, troubleshooting, and technical support, preferably in an educational or corporate environment.
- Proficiency with AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), and interactive displays.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, including IP configurations, VLANs, and wireless connectivity for AV systems.
- Hands-on experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX) and digital signage solutions is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve technical issues quickly.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), AVIXA, or CompTIA A+ are highly desirable.
