Responsibility
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the IT roadmap for special software projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
- Project Oversight: Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade software applications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with C-level executives, department heads, and external partners to deliver solutions that drive operational excellence.
- Innovation & R&D: Identify emerging technologies and trends to enhance Gain City Group’s competitive edge in the retail and e-commerce sectors.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure all software projects adhere to cybersecurity standards, data privacy regulations, and internal governance policies.
- Budget Management: Oversee IT budgets for special projects, optimizing resource allocation and ROI.
- Team Development: Mentor and upskill IT teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party software vendors and service providers.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, AWS/Azure) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years managing large-scale software projects in retail, e-commerce, or similar industries.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern architectures (microservices, APIs).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, with strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Business Acumen: Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills in English, with the ability to present complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with a global mindset.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with retail tech, ERP systems, or digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
