Responsibility
- Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Monitor and track the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to optimize asset utilization and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
- Conduct regular audits to verify asset records and identify discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain IT asset management tools and systems to improve tracking and reporting.
- Provide insights and recommendations for asset optimization and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Support IT teams in asset deployment, retirement, and disposal processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in IT asset management tools and software (e.g., ServiceNow, Snipe-IT).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of IT procurement processes and financial management.
- Certification in IT asset management (e.g., IAITAM) is a plus.
