Responsibility
- Administer and maintain virtual networks, storage systems, and IaaS virtual machines (VMs) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for business-critical applications.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support and advice to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess IT needs and recommend scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, data backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Automate routine IT tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve efficiency.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports for compliance and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (3+ years) as an IT Administrator, System Administrator, or Cloud Support Specialist.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security principles (e.g., VPN, SSL, Active Directory).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and system automation tools.
- Familiarity with storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and backup/recovery systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
