Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing stock.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and prevent shrinkage or loss.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor and report inventory turnover, stock movements, and demand trends to optimize ordering processes.
- Train, mentor, and lead inventory staff to maintain high standards of performance and accountability.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to align inventory levels with business needs and demand forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols in all inventory-related operations.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock, generate reports, and analyze data for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, barcoding, and stock management best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with retail or supermarket operations is a plus.
