Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales inputs to optimize inventory levels.
- Monitor and analyze inventory turnover, stock levels, and lead times to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align supply chain activities with demand plans.
- Implement inventory management best practices to reduce carrying costs and improve cash flow.
- Generate regular reports on inventory performance, demand accuracy, and supply chain KPIs for management review.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to understand promotional activities, new product launches, and market changes affecting demand.
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks, working proactively to mitigate risks and disruptions.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced planning tools to streamline demand planning and inventory control processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain operations, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and trends.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of forecasting techniques, statistical modeling, and inventory optimization strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Certifications in CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) are a plus.
