Responsibility
- Manage and maintain accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory using digital systems (e.g., ERP/MRP).
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between system data and actual inventory levels.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of materials while avoiding excess stock.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures, including FIFO/LIFO methods, to optimize storage and reduce obsolescence.
- Liaise with production planners to align inventory availability with manufacturing schedules.
- Resolve inventory-related issues, such as shortages or overstocks, by investigating root causes and proposing corrective actions.
- Support month-end and year-end inventory audits in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar administrative role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or custom ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Familiarity with FIFO/LIFO inventory valuation methods and basic accounting principles.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal) to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
