Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to identify risks and areas for improvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend enhancements to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans for management review.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure the audit function remains proactive and relevant.
- Assist in fraud investigations and special projects as required, providing insights and solutions to complex issues.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Support external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of auditing standards (e.g., IIA, COSO) and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, Basel III).
- Proficient in using audit software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
