Responsibility
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and document progress of road and bridge construction projects, including materials testing and quality control.
- Review and approve contractor submissions, such as method statements, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or potential risks, proposing corrective actions where necessary.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical or logistical issues.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, measurements, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and occupational health and safety (OHS) protocols on-site.
- Assist in the handover process, including final inspections and certification of completed works.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) Inspector of Works (IOW) registration is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in road and bridge supervision or similar civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice, and quality assurance procedures.
- Proficient in using inspection tools, surveying equipment, and project management software.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Bali and work in outdoor/field conditions.
