Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect organizational data.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Monitor security systems and networks for irregular activities, responding promptly to incidents.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all technology projects.
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or local data protection laws.
- Investigate security breaches and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to enhance organizational defenses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in information security, cybersecurity, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
