Responsibility
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems, motors, and control panels to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery, PLC systems, and automation equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Inspect, test, and calibrate electrical components and systems to comply with safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement electrical upgrades and modifications for improved efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements using CMMS or other tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and PPE requirements.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and efficiently to restore operations with minimal disruption.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing or heavy machinery sectors.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing 3-phase motors, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for industrial equipment.
- Certification in electrical safety (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
- Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in shift-based or on-call rotations as required by production demands.
