Responsibility
- Design, analyze, and optimize warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement process improvements for order fulfillment, picking, packing, and shipping to reduce lead times and errors.
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and recommend data-driven solutions for productivity enhancement.
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline inventory management and reduce carrying costs.
- Utilize industrial engineering tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, or simulation software) to model and improve operational processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, throughput, and cycle times, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new process implementations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in warehouse automation and eCommerce fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or industrial engineering, preferably in eCommerce or retail.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or BI tools like Tableau/Power BI).
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
