Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end importation process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods from international suppliers to local operations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to facilitate smooth customs clearance and transportation.
- Review and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin, to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Monitor shipment statuses and proactively address any delays, discrepancies, or issues that may arise during transit or customs clearance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement, finance, and warehouse operations, to align import activities with business objectives and inventory needs.
- Ensure compliance with import laws, tariffs, and trade agreements to minimize risks and avoid penalties or legal issues.
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions, costs, and performance metrics to support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and service providers to optimize costs and service levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in importation management, logistics coordination, or international trade operations.
- Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance in Indonesia and internationally.
- Proficient in managing import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry, documentation review, and problem-solving.
- Experience with logistics software, ERP systems, or trade management tools is a plus.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is an advantage.
