Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor the end-to-end import process, from purchase order to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective operations.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers to facilitate smooth clearance of shipments.
- Prepare and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Track shipment statuses and resolve any delays or discrepancies proactively to minimize disruptions.
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions, duties, and taxes for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, warehouse, finance) to align import activities with business objectives.
- Stay updated on changes in trade laws, tariffs, and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in import operations, customs clearance, or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of incoterms, HS codes, and customs regulations in Indonesia and key trading partner countries.
- Proficient in using ERP systems, logistics software, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex import scenarios.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Bali’s logistics hubs (e.g., ports, airports) and local business practices is advantageous.
