Responsibility
- Coordinate and oversee end-to-end import processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and delivery scheduling.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international suppliers to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
- Prepare and verify import documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any delays or discrepancies to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, tariffs, and import/export laws.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to align import schedules with production and inventory needs.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with logistics providers to optimize costs.
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions, costs, and performance metrics for reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in import operations, customs clearance, or international logistics.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian import regulations, HS codes, and customs procedures.
- Proficient in using logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and international shipping practices is a plus.
