Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems in data centre environments to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system failures, including chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, and VRF systems.
- Monitor and optimize system performance using advanced tools and software to maintain temperature, humidity, and airflow within specified parameters.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of HVAC equipment to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and facility managers, to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and environmental regulations in all operations.
- Provide emergency support for critical HVAC system failures to minimize disruption to data centre operations.
Qualifications
- A diploma or certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Proven experience working with data centre HVAC systems, including precision cooling, CRAC/CRAH units, and VRF systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control systems (BMS, PLC).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for HVAC equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency practices and sustainable HVAC solutions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to work in shift patterns or on-call rotations as required by operational needs.
