Responsibility
- Design, install, and maintain HVAC systems for offshore platforms, ships, and marine structures.
- Conduct performance assessments and troubleshoot cooling system failures in marine environments.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC solutions into new marine construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and industry standards (e.g., SOLAS, IMO).
- Optimize energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact of cooling systems.
- Provide technical support and training to onboard engineering teams.
- Document system specifications, maintenance logs, and performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC systems, preferably in marine, offshore, or shipping industries.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, chiller systems, and marine-grade HVAC components.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations and safety standards for cooling systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software and HVAC design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in remote or offshore settings.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel or work on short-term offshore assignments as needed.
