Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement learning and development programs tailored to the needs of faculty, staff, and students in the maritime education sector.
- Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training gaps and create targeted L&D initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually, to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of L&D programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and recommend improvements.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of high-quality training programs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in maritime education and HR development.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires by developing and delivering orientation programs.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes for reporting and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in learning and development, training coordination, or HR roles, preferably in the education or maritime industry.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
- Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools to deliver and track training programs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in designing and delivering training materials, including presentations, manuals, and digital content.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM, PHR) or training (e.g., ATD, CIPD) is a plus.
