Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and back-of-house cleanliness.
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure they meet Shangri-La’s rigorous standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high performance and professionalism.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective usage.
- Collaborate with the front office and maintenance teams to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and sanitation protocols in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Develop and optimize cleaning schedules to maximize efficiency without compromising quality.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints related to housekeeping services with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping or hospitality.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Proficient in English; additional languages, particularly Bahasa Indonesia, are a plus.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as eco-friendly cleaning practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and inventory management tools is advantageous.
