Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy vehicles, including trucks, lorries, and tankers, to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct engine overhauls, brake system repairs, suspension adjustments, and transmission servicing with precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory to ensure operational transparency.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics or apprentices as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in heavy vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or similar role, with a minimum of 3-5 years in the field.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools, such as OBD scanners and multimeters.
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., local Indonesian transport regulations).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment or parts as required.
- Valid driverâs license and clean driving record (preferred).
