Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on heavy machinery, trucks, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct on-site and workshop repairs to minimize downtime and support operational continuity.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks based on project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in heavy machinery maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Machinery or Truck Mechanic, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy machinery and trucks.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, such as OBD scanners, multimeters, and hydraulic testers.
- Strong knowledge of engine components, transmissions, braking systems, and suspension systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and basic metalwork is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
