Responsibility
- Operate and maintain Lift-On/Lift-Off (LoLo) transporters, cranes, and heavy-duty equipment to load/unload cargo from vessels.
- Inspect and prepare equipment prior to operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards (e.g., OSHA, IMO).
- Coordinate with port teams, vessel crews, and ground staff to synchronize cargo movements and minimize downtime.
- Monitor cargo weight distribution and secure loads using straps, chains, and rigging gear to prevent shifts during transit.
- Document all operations, including cargo manifests, equipment logs, and incident reports, with meticulous accuracy.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or logistical issues during transport and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to environmental and regulatory guidelines for hazardous or oversized cargo handling.
- Participate in routine maintenance and minor repairs of transport equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation, port logistics, or LoLo transport.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM A/B) and certifications for operating cranes or heavy transporters (e.g., Sertifikat Operator Alat Berat).
- Proven ability to read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of cargo securing techniques and weight distribution principles.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and operating machinery in outdoor conditions.
- Familiarity with port safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Basic English proficiency for communication with international teams (preferred).
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by port schedules.
