Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and other critical components.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities in accordance with company and client standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics and team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role, with a minimum of 3-5 years in the field.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with a wide range of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, cranes, excavators, and loaders.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification or vocational training in heavy equipment mechanics is a plus.
