Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, medical equipment, and other machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment, identifying potential problems before they escalate.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all company and industry safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, labor hours, and service reports.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role, with a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and machinery.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, such as OBD scanners, multimeters, and pressure gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driverâs license and a clean driving record (preferred).
