Responsibility
- Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure accurate payment posting.
- Post zero-dollar remittances and flag denials for further investigation.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts receivable records.
- Collaborate with billing teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
- Generate reports on payment posting activities and denial trends.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to address payment-related inquiries.
- Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency in payment posting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare payment posting or medical billing.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare billing processes.
- Proficient in using healthcare billing software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in a hybrid or remote work environment is a plus.
