Responsibility
- Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of medical supplies and equipment, processing weekly inventory requests and ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Generate and submit comprehensive inventory reports to support efficient resource allocation and prevent shortages.
- Receive and screen incoming telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate department or personnel with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide direct support to nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care, including assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, and feeding.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
- Accurately record patient vital signs, observations, and care provided in patient charts or electronic systems.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to patient calls and requests, demonstrating empathy and a patient-first approach.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Health Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a hospital or clinical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional phone demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry and record-keeping.
