Responsibility
- Lead and manage the Design & Fit-Out Services department, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with Sunway Retail’s brand identity and business objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end fit-out process, from initial concept and space planning to material selection, vendor coordination, and final installation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, and resources, optimizing efficiency without compromising design integrity.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies in all design and fit-out activities.
- Drive innovation by researching emerging design trends, materials, and technologies to enhance retail spaces.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in retail design, fit-out management, or commercial architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale design and fit-out projects from inception to completion.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and BIM software.
- Excellent project management, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification is advantageous.
