Responsibility
- Lead and manage the entire accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local and international standards.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and addressing any findings or recommendations.
- Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and statutory reporting to ensure adherence to all legal and fiscal obligations.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and business growth.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
