Responsibility
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of service during peak and off-peak hours.
- Develop, refine, and maintain an authentic Arabian menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques while preserving traditional flavors.
- Oversee food preparation, plating, and presentation to meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Monitor inventory, control food costs, and optimize kitchen efficiency to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to enhance the overall dining experience and address guest feedback.
- Stay updated on culinary trends in Middle Eastern cuisine and introduce creative concepts to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, with a strong background in Arabian or Middle Eastern cuisine.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Arabian recipes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Experience working in high-volume restaurants or hotels, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen budgeting.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Arabic, Indonesian) are a plus.
