Responsibility

  • Oversee daily baking operations, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and taste for all bread, pastries, and desserts.
  • Develop and refine recipes, incorporating local flavors and seasonal ingredients to create signature products.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of bakers and pastry chefs, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design menus that align with the establishment’s brand and customer expectations.
  • Monitor production schedules to meet demand, especially during peak seasons and special events.
  • Implement and enforce HACCP and other food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Stay updated on baking trends, techniques, and equipment to drive innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a bakery leadership role (Head Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar).
  • Proven expertise in artisan bread, pastries, and dessert production with a portfolio of successful creations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, and local health regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle high-volume production.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with flavors, textures, and presentations.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with international teams and guests.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
