Responsibility
- Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations relevant to correctional research.
- Develop and maintain data management systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of information.
- Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format.
- Collaborate with government agencies and internal teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for evaluation.
- Design and implement data collection methodologies, including surveys, experiments, or administrative data extraction.
- Apply evidence-based decision-making frameworks to support policy recommendations and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security protocols, adhering to governmental and organizational standards.
- Provide technical guidance to non-technical stakeholders on interpreting statistical results and their implications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in statistical analysis, data management, or a similar role, preferably in a government or research setting.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and sampling techniques.
- Experience with SQL databases and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data cleaning and integration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with government data standards and reporting frameworks is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
