In this role, you will play a pivotal part in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, ensuring all shipments adhere to global trade laws, customs regulations, and industry-specific compliance standards. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our supply chain while facilitating the timely and secure delivery of life-saving medical products worldwide.

Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and maintain global trade compliance policies and procedures for life sciences logistics.
  • Ensure adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, and industry-specific standards (e.g., FDA, EMA, IATA).
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate compliance gaps in supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, logistics, procurement) and external stakeholders (customs brokers, freight forwarders) to streamline import/export processes.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in global trade regulations, updating internal protocols accordingly.
  • Prepare and submit accurate documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, permits) for customs clearance.
  • Train and advise team members on compliance best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Law, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CCS, CITP) are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in global trade compliance, with a focus on life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare logistics.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations (e.g., Harmonized System, Incoterms, Free Trade Agreements).
  • Proven experience with customs clearance processes and documentation requirements for high-value or temperature-sensitive shipments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, compliance software (e.g., SAP GTS, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
