Responsibility
- Strategic Supply Chain Management: Oversee end-to-end global logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, warehouses, and distribution centers.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality or delivery timelines.
- Vendor & Partner Relations: Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL providers to secure favorable terms and reliable service.
- Compliance & Customs: Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards.
- Performance Analytics: Monitor KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, transit times, cost per shipment) and leverage data to drive continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Mitigate disruptions (e.g., delays, geopolitical issues) with proactive contingency planning.
- Technology Integration: Evaluate and deploy logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) to enhance visibility and automation.
- Team Leadership: Mentor cross-functional teams to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 5+ years in global logistics, supply chain management, or freight forwarding, with a focus on international markets.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of incoterms, shipping modes (air/sea/land), and customs clearance processes.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in logistics data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems).
- Negotiation Expertise: Strong ability to secure cost-effective contracts and build long-term partnerships.
- Problem-Solving: Adept at resolving complex logistical challenges under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal) with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across cultures.
- Leadership: Experience managing teams or cross-departmental projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (Master’s or CIPS/CSCP certification a plus).
